Homesick 🤒

Lisa and I are on the same page

I've been in New York (Bed-Stuy to be exact) for three months now, and this place just doesn't feel like home yet. I feel like a person on an extended stay just taking up space in a room that isn't mine. Yes, it's mine because I pay for it, but not MINE. I could blame this feeling on a number of things, but the fact still remains that I feel "homeless". If home is where your heart is, then my heart is 5hrs. 42 mins. and 338.3 miles away according to Google. That isn't a terribly great distance, but it's too far to be away from something that keeps you going. This is a great city and I like it and I'm sure this feeling of "homelessness" will fade or at least lessen in time. It's just no fun to not be a short 15-30 drive away from the people that know you and love you. *Le Sigh* (I decided to sigh in French to bring home the fact I miss my family and for extra drama. Don't judge me! It seems appropriate. )
